"Postal Padlocks - Rotary - A thru Z"

Some of the rotary locks have symbols embossed on the shackle such as: Star, Triangle, and Circle. It is believed that the symbols represent the casting company that supplied the shackle assembly to the Mail Equipment Shops. This is the best information that we have to date (August 2011).

Some but not all rotary locks that have been repaired are etched with an "R" on the case.
