"Combination Padlocks - 8 Wheels - A thru Z"

 

Click to Enlarge Image Blank. 2 3/4" high x 3 3/8" wide. Steel case. Brass wheels. I found this padlock in an antique shop in Hamburg Germany some time in the 1990's. The shop owner said that it was made by a bored machinist on a cargo boat. It is apparent that the machinist did not have letter/number stamps. Whether this story is true or not this padlock is clearly one-of-a-kind.
