"Doug Oestreich" is etched on the reverse of the case.  "0309" is stamped on the reverse of the case. To open the lock dial the correct 3 letter combination, then push the dial in and turn to the right, and the shackle pops up. Designed by: Doug Oestreich. Mfg by: Doug Oestreich, March 2010.

"0411" "50" is stamped on the top of the case. "2 of 2" "Doug Oestreich" is etched on the base of the case. To open the lock turn the dial until you are able to push the dial upward to expose the wheels. Turn the wheels to the correct combination and pull the shackle up. This lock is the same as #6255 except it is made in brass. Designed by: Doug Oestreich. Mfg by: Doug Oestreich, April 2011.

Once the padlock has been opened you may insert a change key to unlock the wheels and subsequently change the combination. The mechanism appears to be similar to some S&G safe locks. The German translation of "Bode Panzer" is "Ground Tank". Mfg by: Bode Panzer AG (Germany).
